Get to Know Dr. Jade Nix

Dr. Nix joined our team at the beginning of 2023, and we couldn’t be happier about it! Her love for delivering personalized care will shine through from the moment you meet her, and she’s looking forward to helping her friends and neighbors in Fort Worth smile. If you’d like to learn more about what inspired her to become a dentist, where she studied, and what life outside the office looks like, then read on!

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Back in the day, Dr. Nix had braces, an expander, and oral surgery. In fact, she had her mouth wired shut for 6 weeks before entering high school! The procedure and how it changed her life for the better fascinated her, and she knew then and there that she wanted to spend her life helping others have a newfound confidence as well. At just 14 years old, she told her parents that she wanted to become a dentist!

All of these years later, she’s just as passionate about the dental field and what it can do for others. The combination of building lifelong relationships with science, medicine, and creativity is her favorite part of her job year after year. Genuinely, there is nothing she loves more than making others smile!

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

After attending Texas A&M University, Dr. Nix chose to pursue her dental education at the UT School of Dentistry at Houston. There, she was the ASDA (American Student Dental Association) Community Service chair and a member of Psi Omega. Plus, she was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (a national dental honor society)! If that wasn’t impressive enough, she completed a one-year residency program in Advanced Education of General Dentistry at OU College of Dentistry. Dr. Nix has completed over 500 hours of continuing education, taking advanced courses in cosmetic dentistry, oral sedation, implant placement & restoration, and many others. Today, she continues to stay abreast of the latest techniques and technology through active memberships with the:

  • American Dental Association
  • Texas State Dental Association
  • Fort Worth District Dental Society
  • American Academy of General Dentistry

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Outside of work, Dr. Nix loves spending time outdoors with her French bulldog, Tito, and her family and friends. Whether it's working out, hiking, or simply enjoying a day on the trail, Dr. Nix enjoys being active and taking in the natural beauty of her surroundings. She also has a passion for college football, and can often be found cheering on her favorite teams during the season, including her parents’ alumni the TCU Horned Frogs and Texas A&M Aggies! She loves to travel to new places and try new, exotic foods at different restaurants. Here’s an interesting fact about her: she did the sky jump off of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas.
